This plant produces 3 essential oils: Neroli from the blossom, bitter orange from the peel and petitgrain from the leaves. All from one species!
Scent: Rich, Floral, Very Long Lasting.
Extraction Method: Steam distillation of the flowers. Free from alcohol.
Colour: Mid Brown / Deep Orange.
Properties: Calming, Anti-depressant, antiseptic, anti-spasmodic, aphrodisiac, sedative, tonic.
Caution: Generally safe, dilute for skin care.
Easy uses of Neroli oil
Add a few drops to your moisturizer – great for mature skin, this oil helps regenerating new skin cells and rejuvenates the skin.
A few drops in your night time bath – can help you fall a sleap easier but can also get you in the mood for sex, especially if there is nervousness around it.
Sleep baby sleep – add 1 drop neroli oil to a tablespoon of base oil and massage the baby after a warm bath.
Restless sleep – apply the massage oil from above (1 drop neroli in a tablespoon of almond oil) to the neck and shoulders, it’ll be also good for your skin.
Ease shock – inhale 1 drop on a tissue.
Tired muscles – at the end of pregnancy or after standing too much, massage 2 drops neroli and orange oil in a tablespoon base oil to the tired body part, usually legs and lower back.
