Natural hyperpigmentation treatments

Can hyperpigmentation be treated naturally?

Well, of course it’s possible, see my etsy feedback on that one.

But can it be treated at home with kitchen cosmetics?

Well, this is more complex.

Did try some things along the years.

Some of them did work but I never had the time or will to do them for long enough.

Most of these treatments you have to repeat 2-3 times a week

and for me it was always too much.

But hey, maybe you are more keen than me

so why won’t you give it a try?

Natural DIY hyperpigmentation treatments

First, and most important. Protect yourself from the sun at all times, especially your face.

Exposure to sun is the number one cause for early skin aging.

Not only hyperpigmentation but also wrinkles.

So what does work?

  1. Lemon – Very few people can just cut a slice of lemon and massage it all over their face every 1-2 days without drying their face out. I think it’s best to dilute it with raw honey or at east with some water.
  2. Kiwifruit – plenty of vitamin C but less acidic than Lemon. I used the green kind. Just eat the kiwi and massage the green side of the peel into affected area.
  3. Potato – same method, I don’t know why does it work but it feels almost like an eraser. Repeat, repeat, repeat.
  4. Yogurt – Full of lactic acid and fermented. Very messy, but worth it, especially when you want to get ready for a special evening. (Do not forget to shower afterwards)
  5. Milk – easier than yogurt, just put some milk on a cotton ball and apply to your face.

You can try these Hyperpigmentation treatments and see what’s best for you. You can use a different treatment each day. According to what you have in your kitchen today.

Feel free and share the results or if you have better skin lightening ideas, here in the comments.
